Broad Support for Protecting Steep Slopes

Jun 19, 2015 | Friends News & Updates |

Many thanks to those who were able to come out to the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors meeting this past Wednesday. The conservation community in Loudoun was well represented with eight individuals from diverse protection and rural economic development groups speaking on behalf of protecting our fragile Steep Slopes, including Friends board member James Remuzzi. Chairman York and Supervisor Clarke spoke very favorably about their support for protecting the mountains and Steep Slopes. The amendment was referred back to committee and will come before the Board of Supervisors at a later meeting.
