Friends of the Blue Ridge Mountains Action on the Rockwool Industrial Plant

Jun 24, 2020 | Happenings Around the Mountain |

For several years, Friends of the Blue Ridge Mountains has been warning our members about the impact of the Rockwool facility in Ranson, West Virginia.

We have now joined with Jefferson County Vision and several other community and conservation groups in sending a letter to the Ranson City Council urging them to reject a zoning amendment that would allow the facility to operate. See below.

Friends of the Blue Ridge Mountains encourages our individual members to demonstrate opposition to this improperly sited industrial facility, given its potential air pollution damage to the Blue Ridge, rural tourism, animals, and crops in western Loudoun.

We have also made a financial contribution to Jefferson County Vision to help with the legal costs.  If you would like to learn more or contribute individually, here is the link:  jeffersoncountyvision.com
