The Sights and Sounds of a Fall Meadow

September 24 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Enjoy a leisurely afternoon enjoying a three acre native wildflower meadow in a meditative way. Stroll down the meadow paths looking for fall pollinators. Join BJ Lecrone to learn about the process that has unfolded over the past five years on this non-HOA property on the east side of Hamilton.  BJ is an Audubon At Home Ambassador,  Virginia Master Naturalist and works at Watermark Woods, a native plant nursery. Learn what you can do in your own life to make a difference for wildlife. Community Conservation Walk in Marshall

Come join neighbors on a fun and educational walk showcasing a suite of conservation practices underway on a Piedmont landscape, including riparian buffer restoration, invasive species control, grassland management, and more. This is a free knowledge-sharing event led by Smithsonian’s Virginia Working Landscapes and the Piedmont Environmental Council.

Four expert speakers will provide inspiration, ideas and information on garden basics that will appeal to all as we prepare our gardens for the winter and subsequent growing season.
