April 12 – Seven Bends Nursery Grand Opening

Mar 27, 2025 | Happenings Around the Blue Ridge, News & Updates |

Join Friends of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Land Trust of Virginia, Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy, Blue Ridge PRISM and a dozen other environmental / conservation organizations at the grand opening of Seven Bends Nursery on Saturday, April 12th 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The Nursery is located at 76 Moose Road, Berryville, Va. 22611.

Seven Bends Nursery is a boutique native plant nursery focusing on sustainable horticulture and ecosystem-based landscaping. The mission is to increase the availability of native plant material and spread information on the importance of native plants supporting the function of ecosystems and the services they provide (clean water, recreation, productive soils, etc.).

The nursery is owned by Dr. Iara Lacher, a research associate at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royals and landscape ecologist at the National Center for Appropriate Technology. Her knowledge will help you introduce native plants into your landscape, ensuring you get a garden that is both beautiful and ecologically functional.

Shop 1000s of native plants, enjoy the snacks, drinks from the food trucks and learn about conservation tools, techniques, and events in our area. Kid friendly.
