Update – Western Loudoun ZOAM Public Input Schedule

Update – Western Loudoun ZOAM Public Input Schedule

The Loudoun County Transportation and Land Use Committee (TLUC) will hold the next public input session on the Western Loudoun Zoning Ordinance Amendment (ZOAM 2024-0002) on Thursday April 24th. The topics for this hearing will include value added farming/other farm issues/conservation easement, the definition of farm, and inconsistency in overnight stay regulations.

The meeting will begin at 5:00 PM in the Board Room on the first floor of the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison Street, Leesburg.

While the meeting is open to the public the general public will not be allowed to speak. The County Board of supervisors has set up a complicated process for public input to the Western Loudoun ZOAM in which only selected representatives of various groups are invited to speak at the TLUC meetings. The public input process was described in detail in the October 3, 2024, edition of Happenings Around the Blue Ridge (insert link).

The TLUC meeting that will specifically address the Mountain Overlay District (MOD) is currently scheduled for Tuesday September 30, 2025. Friends of the Blue Ridge Mountains will be one of the invited speakers for that meeting.
