2013 Summer Volunteer Day a Success!

Friends of the Blue Ridge Mountains (FBRM), under the leadership of president Al Van Huyck, held their 8th volunteer day at the Blue Ridge Regional Park, located on Blueridge Mountain Rd. in Bluemont, VA., on August 23, 2013.  About 20 adults and several children, including members of the FBRM, Virginia Native Plant Society, and Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority (NVRPA), as well as interested community members, spent the day removing non-native vegetation from the park, Friends of the Blue Ridge Mountains (FBRM), under the leadership of president Al Van Huyck, held their 8th volunteer day at the Blue Ridge Regional Park, located on Blueridge Mountain Rd. in Bluemont, VA., on August 23, 2013.  About 20 adults and several children, including members of the FBRM, Virginia Native Plant Society, and Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority (NVRPA), as well as interested community members, spent the day removing non-native vegetation from the park.
