Goose Creek Association Spring Volunteer Water Monitor Training
The Goose Creek Association spring water monitor training will be March 18, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. They will meet in the parking lot at Trinity Episcopal Church in Upperville to complete classroom training then walk over to Panther Skin Creek to review proper monitoring protocols and macro identification. Dress warmly and bring your wading boots!

Plant This, Not That
Julie Borneman, owner of Watermark Woods native plant nursery, will be speaking on why and how best to use native plants in your yard. She will discuss factors to consider when choosing plants as well as alternatives to common non-native landscape plants. Learn how to be a better steward of your own property to enhance our ecosystem as well as maintain a pleasing aesthetic. Tree Planting at Clermont Farm
Join PEC for a volunteer tree planting at Clermont Farm on Friday, March 24, and Saturday, March 25! Volunteers will be needed for two shifts, one from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and the other from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., to help plant about 550 native trees and shrubs along Dog Run to enhance water quality and wildlife habitat as part of our Potomac Planting Program! They also need one photographer for each shift to document their success.
