Membership Continues to Rise

Feb 13, 2015 | Annual Meeting and Reports, Friends News & Updates, Volunteers |

earthday12014 was a banner year for Friends in many respects: the official launch of the Blue Ridge Coalition; the inaugural presentation of the Jane Pratt Blue Ridge Mountains Award to Loudoun Valley High School senior Christina Nelson; and three new additions to our Board of Directors to name a few highlights. No less significant was that Friends reached its goal of increasing membership to nearly 120 people! This growth was accomplished mainly the old-fashioned way — by spreading the word among neighbors and friends. Our annual participation in events like the Bluemont Fair and EarthDay Loudoun also drew new member sign-ups and public exposure.
