    Dr. Dorothy Jane “Jane” Pratt, founding member of Friends of the Blue Ridge Mountains, former Friends member and head of the Land Use Committee, died on August 12th after battling recurrence of cancer. Jane spent more than 35 years in the field of sustainable, equitable development and environmental stewardship at both the domestic and global levels.
